Lauren is a normal 16 year-old girl with great eye-sight. Ten years ago, her and her parents were hoping that she would not lose an excessive amount of sight or lose it totally. Lauren came to be in Nicaragua, which is a fairly poverty struck country. As a child, Lauren might play outside the house with her friends, generally in the dirt, in the rainwater. After she'd take a shower room from playing, she would protest various occasions to her father and mother about her eyes harming or annoying her. To start with, her parents thought it was some form of allergy, but as she complained more, her parents chose to take her to the nearest doctor. For quite a while the doctors weren't able to tell the fact that was wrong with Lauren's eye, so they insisted she would stay in a healthcare facility until they were doing. After about two weeks of testing and waiting for effects, the doctors informed her parents that Lauren a new parasite in her eyesight that would most likely impair her vision. Because they finished informing her parents, they also described that they did not have the correct equipment to use on their child. The only option they had was to go to America ad arrive at a hospital there as quickly as they can. Now this was a problem because her parents didn't have the funds to although three tickets, let alone play the hospital bills in America. Whilst in the hospital with her father and mother, Lauren frequently thought about the changing times where she'd be the only girl being unable to get those fresh shoes or the pretty dolls she wanted. She recognized her parents didn't have enough money, she was scared. � Later that week, Lauren's parents learned that their particular family provides pitched into put in some funds for their trip and clinic bills.
