Marriage in Islam is definitely neither an imprisonment for any woman that may be forced upon her like a punishment, nor enslavement that makes her submissive, obedient, compliant, acquiescent, docile to guy. Marriage is actually a covenant of religion and consent, and a bond of love and matter. (Mawdudi, 1992). Forced matrimony is the absence of free and full agreement of one or both parties. Young adults forced in to marriage often become alienated from their people. Sometimes they turn to be trapped inside the cycle of abuse with serious long term consequences which include self damage and suicide. To the most of my understanding, no critical studies in the frame job of Islam have been done so far to look into this matter, hence the intent to perform a research and fill the current gap. OBJECTIVES OF THE ANALYZE
The targets of the study are:
1to examine the major factors in charge of forced matrimony. 2to determine the inference of compelled marriage on Muslim Ummah. 3to summarize position of Islam upon forced marriage.
4to teach and information parents on the dangers which might be inherently changing the Muslim societies through forced matrimony.
SIGNIFICANCE IN THE STUDY
